MGM Movie Review – Paranormal Activity 4

With the release of the new Paranormal Activity movie on Blu-ray, I decided to make a Modern Geek Media review.

The movie starts off with the child “Hunter” going missing and jumps to another family’s story. The family consists of Alex and Wyatt, who was adopted at an early age. The movie has the whole ‘new creepy neighbours across the street’ storyline, where the mother has to go to hospital and her st

range son ‘Robbie’ moves in. I won’t tell anymore as it may give away spoilers.

What I liked about the movie is that it was more modern that the past three versions. It includes the Xbox Kinect, Skype video calling and MacBooks in almost every second scene. The movie was also about the teen’s side of the story, rather than adults playing the main role.

The movie isn’t really as scary as expected as most of it is just stupidness, but some scenes are quite creepy.

Overall, the movie wasn’t the greatest, but there wasn’t a loss of interest as it always kept you on the edge of your seat.

I would give the movie a 3.5 star rating out of 5, even though I want to watch it again.
